Hello, i'm Grégoire Hoin. How do you pronounce that ? Well, it sounds a bit like "one". Thus my portfolio's name. I'm a French graphic designer, based in Brussels, Belgium, home of the best fries known to mankind. I am passionnate about design and love creating. I can also spend hours looking at a typeface, or dissecting the design of a product.
Design
Since 2007, I offer high-quality design services for any media, as an independant consultant. Having studied Graphic Design at St Luc Institute, Bruxelles, and a strong backround in science, i easily bridge both to design & develop websites.
Despite my attraction towards new technologies, i also love designing for print, which is surely the most noble media around.
I am fond of product design, which i have a strange attraction for. It's the reason why i spent so many years studying physics and materials. I practice it, and might later reveal some of my concepts on this website, once i deem them worth it.
Development
I got started with computers quite early in my life, and i had played with html some time ago. But when the time to get serious about programming came, i realized many things had changed, and discovered Web Standards, which changed the way i think about designing websites.
I believe every web designer should adhere to them, and help raise awareness about their benefits for everyone, clients and visitors.
